If a WRX raced a Mercedes E-500, who would win?

l assume (since you did not say) that you want to know about some kind of drag race. It is hard to find the 1/4 mile ET for some cars but here are some stats l found:

2004 Mercedes E500: 0 to 60 in 5.4 secs
2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STi (USA): 0 to 60 in 4.88 secs

Do you mean if l race you in my E500 and you will drive a Subaru? How long will the race be? 500 miles? You will not finish it, your toy car will fall apart.

l would guess the Wrx cause its a sports car. No offence dude but this is not really the two cars to compare. The Mercedes-Benz is an luxury car. Its made to go fast but not desgined to compete aganist cars in the Wrx/Lancer line.. but anyway yeah the wrx cause it was desgined to be a fast car. A beter compare question would be like the Wrx and Lancer ot the Bmw 550i and the Mercedes-Benz E550.

What sort of race? A drag race, the most infantile form of motor racing? Or 800 laps of the Nurburgring?

It would be very close & depends on the year models, but l would probably put my money on the WRX by a car length or 2. This site is good 2 look at-

Who cares who would win!!!!!! . Two very different cars to suit two very different markets. If you do not realize that is all l have to say in answer to your question than you really should'nt be asking questions about cars in the first place. Although your question in the first place should tell me that you more than likely think a car with an exhaust pipe you can get your head into is something to be proud of.

The WRX IS NOT A TOY CAR. As a matter of fact the wrx would WIN in a drag race 9/10 times. Plus it is awd so it would still win on a track as well. It is just plain faster!

Mercedes e500: it is RWD
only 302hp out of v8
weighs 3812lbs
non turbo/supercharged
WRX STI: Its AWD
300hp out of 4cyl!
Weighs 3351lbs= 561lbs less
Turbocharged/intercooled

There r the facts to all the haters. No matter the type of race the WRX ST l will beat the e500 without a problem. It is not one of the greatest rally cars in the world for no reason.
