The 500 will have more standard equipment on it which is either optional or not even available on the 320. The 500, for example, has larger rims and tires compared to the 320 ( 17'' vs. 16'' ).

Which is better? That all depends on what you want most. The 500 is a more powerful car but it uses more gas ( and will probably cost more to insure as well ).

The 320 has a 3.2 L v6, the 500 has a 5 L v8..the 550 will have more standard features, but l can tell you from experience even though it is very fast and fun, it sucks gas..about 17.5 mpg..

In all honesty, ur best bet would be to go with the 2005. It will more than likely have some remaining factory warranty. If u r buying from a private seller or a non-Mercedes lot, l would take it directly to a Mercedes dealer & see if there is any warranty work that needs to be preformed.

If u r buying from an MB dealer, then u can have the car Certified. At that point u r eligible for the Certified Pre-Owned Extended warranty.

The reason l am suggesting this is because service for Mercedes is not cheap. If something were to go wrong with the top, for example, u r looking at a repair bill in excess of $1,000 easy.

As to which model u should buy.the 320 is the smarter choice. You will experience less net depreciation when compared to the 500.
