there is nothing wrong with my car the bas/asr light just came on and its kinda annoying
do l have to make an appointment with a dealer for them to just turn the light off???
is it gonna cost me? (no warranty)

there must be a problem or potential problem or the light would not come on. They do not put those lights on there for no reason. Yes it will cost you to fix it. You can have Mercedes or a qualified shop fix it. It cost to drive those fine cars.

It is probably a bad brake light switch,,,,,,,the dealer uses a laptop computer to turn out the light.

Yes, it will cost you but the good news is that it is usually quite cheap. As above stated, most of the time it is a faulty brake lamp switch. It is an easy and inexpensive part to replace.
