What about the ''E''? the 2.6? Whats the fuel consumption in kilometres/litre? Talking of a tiny MB year of manuf 1990.

190e is just the model..2.6 is the engine size..20-25 mpg

The 201 chassis ( 190E model designation ) was one of the very few Benz models to buck their trend of signifying the engine displacement in the model designation. They were all either a 190E ( to indicate a gasoline model ) or a 190D ( diesel engine ) & then they had the displacement following the model. So a 2.3 was the 4-cylinder gasoline engine, the 2.3-16 was the 4 cylinder with a 16 valve head, the 2.6 was the 6-cylinder, etc.

The fuel consumption varies with the engine & transmission combination in the 190.

190E? It is the MB body model. While 2.6L means the engine displacement (2,600cc). No more no less!

those car are running fast and reliable with 6 inline 2.6, but performance wise better to get one of eht Evolutions with 16 valve and manual transmission.
Choice of Engines was huge
